This mind-blowing bit of info comes from the documents that were released as a result of the massive Sony hack. More specifically, emails from Sony chief Amy Pascal who notes that there’s a team-up in the works between Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill’s Jump Street characters that will have them working with the MIB. The film is set to be written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller who were the same team behind the previous Jump Street films.
An email from Lord said, “jump street merging with mib i think that’s clean and rad and powerful.” Um, okay. Just keep in mind that the movie is unlikely to include Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones or Josh Brolin.
Just to make the headache you’re getting even worse, the emails also show that there were plans in the works to bring Spider-Man over into the official Marvel Cinematic Universe for a new trilogy of standalone films and Captain America: Civil War. Those plans have apparently been shelved because they couldn’t work out all the details.
