Will The Millennium Falcon Play A Part In Episode VII?

The Millennium Falcon is more than a spaceship; she’s a character. She saves the day, she provides sanctuary, and she’s beautiful. I have feelings about the Millennium Falcon, and I’ve always assumed she’ll show up in Star Wars Episode VII. It seems like a given. Though nothing is confirmed yet, we’ve got some news that could mean the Falcon is part of the story.

Latino Review has reported that set building has begun at Pinewood Studios in London and that interiors of the Millennium Falcon have already been constructed and finished. Say what? From their report from an unnamed source:

All of post-production and re-shoots are to work around Abrams and Actors schedules. 90% of shooting in London. Also they are building the Millennium Falcon on at Pinewood. Interior is done.

Given the seeming last minute nature of the film industry, I’m surprised any kind of set construction has started since there’s not an announced date for filming yet (well, not publicly) but maybe they’re getting ahead of the game. I could certainly see the ship making an appearance. If Han Solo is in the movie, it only makes sense. It my wildest dreams, I hope he has a daughter in the movie and he passes the Falcon on to her.

Don’t put all of your Ewoks on one moon just yet. Have fun speculating, just remember it’s only a rumor.
