Conan O’Brien was made for Twitter, and now that he has some free time on his hands he can use it as an outlet to stay connected to his audience. Clearly, he needs it:
Today I interviewed a squirrel in my backyard and then threw to commercial. Somebody help me.
Yeah, read the tweet then check the beard. Conan’s turning into the Unibomber. But there is good news—it took only one tweet from Conan to blow by Jay Leno’s paltry 30K followers. In fact, he’s already up to 250K and climbing. The way I see it, the incident with The Tonight Show, staying in touch with Twitter and the lag between now an when he reappears on television is going to be the best thing that could have ever happened to his career.
