People can build anything in Minecraft, and they’ve churned out some pretty neat block creations. WesterosCraft may top them all though, and yes, I may be a bit biased. The project has been going on for a while, and the goal is to reconstruct the entire world of Westeros (where Game of Thrones takes place) on a single Minecraft server. Jacob Granberry is the project’s lead, and he’s taken the time to put together some time-lapse videos to show off the progress.

Microsoft has teamed up with Machinima to produce a live-action Halo web series entitled Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn that will launch on Machinima and Halo Waypoint in the weeks leading up to Halo 4‘s release on Nov. 6. The series will consist of five weekly, 15-minute episodes that will focus on Master Chief serving as a source of inspiration for a young cadet.

“[We want] to make Halo accessible for people who haven’t played the games,” 343 Industries, the game’s new development company, rep Matt McCloskey said. “We wanted to do something unique from a narrative standpoint that’s big in scale.”

McCloskey also reports that if the shorts are well received, it could open the door for more live action development. Whether this culminates in the long awaited Halo movie remains to be seen.

Professor T. Lemetry employed copper piping, 4 gauges, a valve wheel and various brass components to modify the hell out of a Nerf Vulcan Blaster, resulting in this steampunk “Goliathon”. Besides earning a spot with other Nerf/Steampunk masterpieces, the professor believes that the Goliathon harnesses “all the horsepower of a full-size steam locomotive” to “level a building, down an airship, or turn a man inside out” – all in one shot.

Although that may be a bit over the top for a toy, it is a truly awesome mod that can be yours for $350. Check out some additional pics after the break.

YouTuber “sleepyskunk” created a video entitled “Movies That Come To The Rescue”, which provides the sounds of Weezer’s Perfect Situation while showing clips from what is apparently every superhero movie ever made… we’ll have to take sleepyskunk’s word on that one.

Check out the video, and a list of the included films after the break.

We’re all afraid of the dark now and then—but you can banish the darkness with these superhero themed night lites. What could be more comforting than the Punisher’s warm glow? No, that seems a little odd. There’s always Spider-Man with a big black spider. Wait, that doesn’t work either. Okay, okay, let’s go with Captain America. It’s a nice red, white and blue shield with a star. Yup, that ought to do the trick quite nicely. Each measures 4.5″ by 4″ and has an automatic light sensor so it will know when to shed its heroic light and save you from the villains of your nightmares.
