CES: Lexar JumpDrive With Electronic Paper Display

Putting the new E Ink display into use, Lexar has the Mercury USB JumpDrive with usage meter. The drives come in 1 and 2 GB capacities and shows the current usage, whether currently plugged into a port or not. The non-volatile nature of the display allows it to continuously run with no power. At less than 0.7 mm thick, it allows the drive to be as small and slim as any other drive they offer.

Seemingly just a nice little addition, I think it dramatically increases the utility of the device and could lead to better sales. Have a few of them on hand, and when you need to use it you can just pick the one that shows enough capacity left. Save you the hassle of having to plug a couple in until you find one that has avalable space. Not the most technical innovation at CES, but probably one of the most useful.
