I have to post this for my brother who has been telling me for a couple weeks I should develop a mouse that fits on your finger. The idea as he proposes it is a bit different than what Logisys is offering. Their offering is a laser mouse with 800 dpi resolution. A velcro strap attaches it to your finger, and there are two buttons and a scroll wheel positioned where you can access them with your thumb. It connects to your system via USB. Being a laser, it should work being moved over any surface, other than glass. All well and good, and for $19.99 not too bad if you want that mostrous thing strapped to your finger.

Now the million dollar idea I am being hounded about would essential be to miniaturize the electronics so it is much smaller, make it a gyro mouse so you don’t need any surface for it to work and make it Bluetooth while you are at it. That is my winning proposition.

Oh Gizmo

So how does this actually work? Do you have to point the tip of your finger at the desk and then move it about?

That seems unbelievably awkward and is probably the most unergonomic thing I’ve ever seen.

Yeah, it can be used on any surface except reflective glass – which means that it would be most effective with people using mobile devices. Basically, it saves you a ton of room over a traditional mouse.

If this review (click here) is to be believed, it actually functions fairly well.
