Now that I have your attention, check out these great new behind-the-scenes pictures of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford on the set of Return of the Jedi and The Empire Strikes Back. These were all released by Lucasfilm in advance of the Star Wars Celebration in Florida this August. Han looks cool, Luke looks goofy and Leia not only gets up close and personal with a Gamorrean, but she gets caught smooching Chewbacca. Man, if Han finds out about this he’s going to be one ticked off smuggler.

I don’t live that far from MIT so the presence of a Dalek at The Stata Center is a bit unnerving. Look at him, so smug sitting up there on what looks like a waffle cone made out of polished chrome. Now that I look at this, I’m not sure if I’m more perplexed by the Dalek, which can be explained away as yet another MIT prank, or this crazy building, which someone actually paid to build on purpose. I say they junk the whole thing, remake it in a Dalek’s image, and hope it appeases them enough to hold off on what could be an imminent invasion.

I left my heart in Hogsmeade. I went to Orlando recently, and for the first time, I was excited to see something other than Disney. I felt like I was cheating on the Mouse, but I couldn’t wait to visit Wizarding World in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. It was everything I imagined Harry Potter-land would be, and it surpassed all of my expectations. I didn’t know a theme park atmosphere could be so charming, but I walked around in a state of absolute wonder for the duration of my visit. From my first cry of joy at seeing Hogsmeade to practically shedding tears at having to leave – Universal, you did good.
