This Skater’s Coach was designed by Tom Demme, a baby boomer who wants to help his generation keep an active lifestyle as they move into the stage of life dominated by AARP, Hoverounds and walk-in bathtubs. It is basically a walker on wheels that you hold onto while  rollerblading, allowing you to maintain stability and increase cardiovascular fitness. It also claims to provide the same benefits as running without the high impact on back and knees, as well as greater resistance and muscle training than bike riding. At $599, it’s also a great way to drain your bank account, at least until your next Social Security payment.

As I have gotten older, there have been a number of occasions where I was reminded of something in my past and said “so, was that like 2 years ago?”—only to be informed that it was more like 6 years ago. The truth of the matter is that we are all getting older, and each successive year seems to go by faster than the last. This “All Grown Up” alarm clock series will remind you of that fact every morning with a number scheme that “starts out innocently in the mid twenties and then blurs into the mid thirties and beyond.”
