Our friends at QMx have unveiled a new Warehouse 13 app that allows users to turn their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch into a Farnsworth for sharing video and audio messages. And believe me, QMx knows something about Farnsworths—they actually make the props for the show.

A fitness app appropriately titled “Zombies, Run!” will not only help get you in shape, but it will also allow you to pit yourself against the undead in a series of missions that will provide valuable training should the world be subjected to an actual zombie apocalype:
Zombies, Run! is an ultra-immersive game for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android where you help rebuild civilisation after a zombie apocalypse. By going out and running in the real world, you can collect medicine, ammo, batteries, and spare parts that you can use to build up and expand your base – all while getting orders, clues, and story through your headphones.

We just got word that a new Super 8 camera app has been released in the App Store and it is free for a limited time.
The app ties in with the upcoming J.J. Abrams flick, and if you are into retro photography/video it’s looking like a must-have for your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch (4th gen), and iPad 2.
I haven’t had a chance to play around with it much at this point, but it looks badass so far. Right off the bat you wil notice a beautiful UI and plenty of effects. And again, it’s totally free right now.

Just a reminder that gaming fans with an iPhone should…nay, MUST head on over to the App Store and pick up the medieval fighter Infinity Blade from Chair and Epic Games. It realizes the full potential of the Retina Display on the iPhone 4 and it is the closest thing to a console game on the iOS platform to date.
Plus, you can’t go wrong for only $6.

With over 200 million smartphone subscribers in the US alone, it is no wonder that apps have become big business for wireless carriers and app makers alike. With an estimated 250,000 apps in the iTunes store and 100,000 in the Android Market, finding the best app for a particular need is difficult and time consuming. Sure you can read hundreds of app reviewing blog posts out there, but wouldn’t you rather watch thorough video reviews instead? With more and more web shows dedicated to doing just that, we thought we’d sort through the clutter and present you with the app review shows that most deserve your precious time and attention:
Would you download a free iPhone app and completely waste your time? Seriously, this is probably the most ridiculous piece of promotional nonsense in the App Store…and that’s saying something.
The entire point of the game is to unwrap a Klondike Bar in the shortest amount of time. But all you’re doing is rapidly swiping in four directions. The one interesting feature is that you can get the Klondike Bar jingle at the push of a button, which I can see being both funny and annoying in a variety of situations.

The master of zombie horror, George A. Romero, is back with a new flick Survival of the Dead—and he has teamed up with developer Additive Interactive to create an App of the Dead for the iPhone and iPod touch that allows you to zombify pictures of you or your friends by adding wounds and deformities. Pictures can then be saved, emailed, or uploaded to Facebook.
But that’s not even the best part.
iChocolates are the only iPhone apps built with authentic Cocoa Touch. Comes in four different flavors boxed in an iPhone-like package. This version costs $46, which is pretty expensive for an iPhone app, but hopefully they will come out with a lite version for diabetics.

The team at BoingBoing got an early look at the Marvel Comics app running on the iPad and, in most respects, they enjoyed the experience. At one point the reviewer noted that she “did not miss paper.” Take a look at the video of the app in action after the break and let us know whether or not you are ready to make the jump from paper to digital.
