The latest Wookiee the Chew painting from James Hance is as delightful as the rest of the series. Christopher Robin/Han Solo is reading a book to his faithful companion. Awww!
Don’t forget to check out more of Hance’s wonderful work.

HBO’s Game of Thrones is known for its amazing visuals; they are sweeping and make you feel like you’re in Westeros and the lands across the Narrow Sea. Those designs started as pieces of concept art. Artist Kimberley Pope has worked on both seasons of the series, and she’s posted several designs on her website (beware some spoilers for season 2 in King’s Landing).
If you’re a fan of the series, you should take a look. You’ll recognize scenes from the series, and the art will instantly transport you into George R.R. Martin’s world. I hope these get released one day in a giant book.

Mondo has created a series of seven new posters for the Avengers that will have everyone looking to redecorate their living rooms. They already debuted first two, Black Widow and Hawkeye, and now they’ve revealed the next four. Each poster in the series is designed by a different artist, including the last yet to be unveiled image of the whole Avengers team. Artists behind this most recent batch include Martin Ansin on Thor, Phantom City Creative on Captain America, Ken Taylor on Hulk and Kevin Tong on Iron Man. All the posters were available in very limited quantities and have already sold out, but follow @MondoNews for your chance to grab an upcoming version featuring the whole team.

If you read comic books, there’s been a time (or times) when you’ve pictured yourself in the story. Maybe you pretend you’re Captain America, Black Widow, Wolverine, or a new character you’ve imagined. At least, I’m guessing it isn’t just me who does this.
The Comics Factory has a team of digital artists ready to turn you into the (officially licensed) superhero you’ve always wanted to be. You can have your face blended into any of the hero costumes mentioned above, you can describe a custom character, or you can even partner up with friends for multi-hero/villain images. The finished images come in various sizes with framing options.
I think these would make a great gift for the comics fan in your life, and they’d be perfect for upcoming Mother’s and Father’s Days! Who wouldn’t want a picture of themselves as Spider-Man?

DeviantARTist Dynamaito already pitted Drogo vs Robb in Round 1, but he has Tyrion vs. Cersei in Round 2. I had Tyrion no contest in this one, but Cersei just mashed buttons and somehow managed to win.

In order to commemorate the upcoming Olympic games and inject a bit of humor into the event, artist Jeremy Deller created this fully inflatable scale model of Stonehenge, which was recently erected at Glasgow’s Festival of Visual Art before heading off to London.

A sneak peek at Sentry Turrets version 2.0 from Aperture. Needless to say, this new model is far less polite.

They’re tough. They’re unstoppable. And they’re so darn cute you’re going to want to love them and hug them and give them a nice fish. Check out these versions of The Avengers as adorable baby seals. I wonder how much trouble they’ll have fighting evil with their newly shortened arm-fins? Poor Thor Odinseal is going to have a heck of a time lifting that hammer.

Mark Daniels and Mark Steel created this B-movie style poster for a fictional film called Lair of the Rancor. I would totally watch this Mucasfilm production.
