When you think of bike baskets, a wicker number attached to handlebars with streamers probably comes to mind. Not so with the Bent Bike Basket design from Faris Elmasu. This “basket” can safely strap down just about anything—including a six pack of beer.

Granted, the bike was created as a humorous promotional tool for Joby’s line of Gorillapod bendy tripods—so I wouldn’t expect to see Lance Armstrong falling off the side of a mountain on one anytime soon.

For kids just learning to ride, 2-wheeled bikes can be dangerous and tricycles…well those are just not masculine enough. The Kettquad from German toy maker Kettler fills the void with a 4-wheeled beast that features pneumatic tires, a completely enclosed chain drive, disc brakes and a whopping $800 price tag.
