We first heard that about an Angry Birds board game titled Knock on Wood back in January, and the good news is that it is now available for purchase. If you still aren’t sick of Angry Birds, there’s also a new card game as well.

The premiere of the second season of The Walking Dead may be several months off, but fans will be able to enjoy two board games based on the comics and the series—one of which is slated to arrive this summer.

Not much is known about the gameplay of Z-Man Games’ version, but MTV is reporting that it will be a 6-player game priced at $39.99 that pits the player in the role of an uninfected human trying to survive in the midst of a zombie outbreak. It also appears to skew more towards the comic books than the TV series.

Another version from Cryptozoic Entertainment is in the works that’s rooted in the TV series and gives players the ability to continue playing as a zombie after they have become infected. A release window for this version has not been announced, but it will also be priced at $39.99.

I can’t believe it took this long to make a board game based on The Princess Bride—but here you have it. Storming the Castle: The Princess Bride Card Game.

Playing as Westley, Buttercup, Inigo, or Fezzik, you’ll race your adversaries traversing your Path Tiles to get to the castle. But you’ll have to make sure you have the proper Tactic Cards to get you onto each tile. Maybe you’ll even play a card that will add Path Tiles to your opponent’s path. Inconceivable? Not in the least! Storm the castle, save the princess (even if you are the princess), and win the game. Add your own favorite quotes as you play, and Storming the Castle: The Princess Bride Game is some of the best fun you’ll ever have. Ever.

Since the parent corporation bigwigs missed the boat on board games, Nicholas “Neptune” Endean has taken it upon himself to create a Resident Evil themed version of Monopoly. It may just be a concept at this point, but he has completely redesigned the conventional board as well as all the chance and community chest cards. However, the money, box, hotels, houses, instruction booklet and die-cast playing pieces are still in the works; so you can land on Sheena Island and mortgage it for $150, but you’ll be doing it with a thimble and Rich Uncle Pennybags’ cash.

zombies-board-game

Playing a board game where you buy properties and build hotels may be fun for certain people, others prefer the challenge of trying to escape from zombies with a roll of the dice. You wouldn’t think that running from a zombie would be hard work, but you never had to run at the speed dictated by an unnatural streak of very low rolls.

The_Office_Clue-Game

Rather than playing whodunit with a bunch of people you have never heard of, play a game where you know both the deceased and the suspects since they are all characters on The Office. All you have to do is figure out who killed Toby, with what weapon and where. The question of who should be easy: it has to be Michael. Nobody hates Toby as much as Michael. Check out some of the amusing weapons after the break including “The World’s Best Boss” mug and a George Foreman grill.

mr bacons big adventure

I think the description on the box says it best:

Join Mr. Bacon on a mouth-watering mosey through Meatland! On your journey, you’ll have to navigate your way through the Mustard Marsh, cross the eerie expanse of Wiener Wasteland and sail on the Sausage Sea. If you make it past the deceptive detour of Vegan Alley and avoid getting grounded in Gristle Grotto, you might just make it to the Great Frying Pan at the end of the trail.

Truly, this is a fat-drenched adventure of a lifetime for bacon fans everywhere. Additional images are available after the break.
