Boba Fett

fett 1

Do you need the best of the best to track down a bounty? Look no further than this Boba Fett statue from Sideshow Collectibles. The life-size figure stands at 6.5 feet tall and is incredibly detailed.

Fett comes with the following: “authentic replica of his Mandalorian armor, featuring an articulated helmet with adjustable rangefinder, intricately detailed fabric costume and utility belt, a light-up chest panel, and braided Wookiee scalp accessories.”

He also has weapons and helpful tools inside his pockets. And yes, he would look good next to their life-sized Han Solo in carbonite statue.

Pre-order now to receive Boba Fett in September. More photos of the bounty hunter after the break.

This mash-up comes from the mind of deviantArtist HeroforPain who had the idea to create a series based on what would happen if all the fictional worlds imploded creating a new world. In this image, he’s combined Boba Fett and Grumpy Cat but if you look closely at his armor you’ll see nods to other fictional worlds. And check out those ruby slippers on Grumpy Cat’s feet.

Star Wars 1313 met its untimely fate earlier this week with the unfortunate shutdown of LucasArts. The game was going to focus on the lower levels of Coruscant where every type of grisly crime you can imagine happens. It’s a different world down there with gangsters, thieves, killers, and bounty hunters. According to Kotaku’s source, it was going to center on Boba Fett.

The source says George Lucas specified last May that the game should focus on Fett. Though I’m bummed to see the game cancelled and to see LucasArts shuttered, I can’t say that I’ll miss a game about that bounty hunter. I know he’s a popular character, but any time the phrase bounty hunter is mentioned in the Star Wars Expanded Universe it’s usually followed by Fett. Leave some mystery and focus on other characters; it’s a big galaxy!

Regardless of my feelings, I can’t deny the concept art shown above is striking. Check out another image after the break.

boba-fett-glass-stained

The uber talented Michael McClane is at it again with a gorgeous stained glass design. He’s created a lovely panel featuring the ever popular Mandalorian, Boba Fett. It’s 30″ tall and 8″ wide, and it was cut and assembled so it looks like a Tiffany Lamp. Yes, it does match his stained glass Boba Fett helmet lamp to a tee. If I were rich and less of a klutz, I would cover my house in panels like this!

Vinyl Boba Fett

Yeah, that’s Boba Fett, although you might be wondering why the bad-ass bounty hunter from Star Wars is sporting some extra curves on his head and body. Created by Brooklyn street artist and designer Brian Donnelly (aka “KAWS”), the overall form and design of the figure is based on another one of his characters called Companion. You’ll get what I mean when you check out what KAWS’ Companion looks like.

The figure will be released online on KAWSONE.com on January 26th, 2013.

Disney World wasn’t the same after Deadpool and Boba Fett visited.

It seems so very right that these two would hang out and cause trouble. Artist Marc D’Alfonso has drawn the pair together before; check out the other comics after the break.

Action figures are more awesome when they are super-sized. You’ve seen the Shogun Stormtrooper and in 2013, Super7 will add Boba Fett to the 24″ Shogun collection. Yeah, it is pretty darn cool. They’re showing off the cardboard stand-in at Celebration VI, and if you look right next to it you can see the sculpted Fett helmet.

Watch Super7′s site for further information.

It’s hard to imagine a time when Emperor Palpatine was a fun-loving kid playing with beach balls, but he was a kid once, and it turns out he was adorable. The Octopus Tree has made a set of six prints available in their Etsy store, each capturing a Star Wars villain in his younger years. The prints measure 12″ x 12″ and are sold as a set or individually, but you wouldn’t want to break up this gang. They’re just too cute together!
