In order to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first plastic model kit release from the Gundam franchise, Japanese service provider SoftBank will release a limited edition SoftBank 945SH G Ver.GP30th phone. The phone will include a 1/100-scale plastic model kit of the first Gundam mobile suit robot complete with an internal metal frame. The phone will also allow you to capture 1280×720-pixel high definition video, uses an 854×480-pixel main screen and will charge on model’s custom catapult display base. Pre-orders will be available in SoftBank stores and on their website starting today, with the phones beginning shipment sometime in September.
