coat-rack

Excuse me—Dracula is a coat rack. It would be great if this was an actual product—it would be even better if the vampire was a big cutout of Edward Cullen.

He died for your sins and now he apparently has returned so that you have somewhere to hang your coats and scarves. Probably a gift that is best saved for those people you know best, making light of a sacred religious image is only for the boldest of people. On the other hand, a good coat rack is a good coat rack.

paradise tree coat and hat rack

Whether you are a kid or an adult with some sort of Willy Wonka thing going on in your house, this Paradise Tree is a unique (and absurdly expensive) place to hang your coats and hats.

2d-to-3d-coat-tree

In a display of art that would have gotten you condemned as a witch 400 years ago, this “2D to 3D” coat tree allows you to hang your wearables on a wall graphic adorned with hidden hardware to create the magic.  Perfect for a rat’s nest that can’t hold another piece of furniture, and those with a chronic fear of the third dimension. The only drawback: at $109 you’re probably better off whipping out a Sharpie and going to town on one of your walls.

pipe-work-coat-rack

Spread the industrial look around your place and harness the hanging power of pipes without the threat of leaks or flooding with these “Pipe Rack Series” coat racks.  These powder coated copper pipes feature four hooks made from brass fittings and measure 10cm x 82.5cm x 10cm.  Now when you have 50 lbs of coats, hats and purses your exposed pipes won’t be able to mock you from the ceiling. Who’s laughing now you bastards?

While this mountain range may look cool on your walls as just a decoration, it’s real function is meant to be as a coat hook. Each peak gives you another spot to hang something. Adults may not want to use it because they like to see the actual mountains, kids may not because they are kids and that’s how they can be. Either way, you will probably be seeing a lot of mountains even after begging everyone to use it.

Coatracks just seem to be one of those items that can be made, and are, from just about anything. If a scallion coatrack is not up your alley, how about a Pencil Coatrack? Something about a cup full of pencils sitting in the corner of my entryway makes me smile, and will probably give your guests a chuckle as well.

I come across some items I just think are cool. This Scallion Coat Rack is one of them. It’s not practical and I can’t imagine what kind of decor it goes with, but I like it anyway. Unfortunately, if you check out the price, you can see why I will not be owning one.
