So the brewing is complete on Nerd Approved’s breakfast in a bottle brand of oatmeal, coffee, bacon stout. As promised, I took some photos and added a bit of detail so you know where we are and what the next steps are going to be.

Man, what is the point of completing a 400 piece jigsaw puzzle shaped like a donut? Is it some sort of willpower exercise? Maybe you’re addicted to donuts and you won’t allow yourself to have one until the puzzle is complete. By that time, maybe the donut’s spell on you will be broken.
Also available in cofee, pizza and Chinese food versions.
Bacon. Coffee. Beer. Why not put these wonderful things together?
As an avid homebrewer that likes to tinker with extreme style beers, that’s the question I found myself asking. Make the base beer an oatmeal stout, add some high quality coffee and infuse with bacon—breakfast in a bottle. As I write this I am waiting for the sparge to finish up, so the process of creating the ultimate nerd’s beer is already well underway.
As if the list of bacon-flavored products isn’t long enough, Torani has released bacon flavored syrup to give your beverages an artificial pork belly twist.

It always seemed stupid to me that you needed a cardboard sleeve on top of a coffee cup in order to protect your hands from the heat. Well, this Heatswell concept might be the answer to that problem. As you can see in the video, the material automatically swells when hot liquid is poured inside, creating a soft barrier and, as an added bonus, 3D logos.
Supposedly, the cup is cheaper than buying a cup and a sleeve separately, and the material used is 100% recyclable and biodegradable. If that is true, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this in your local Starbucks sometime soon. Speaking of Starbucks, don’t forget to enter the Starbucks contest from our sister site, Fashionably Geek.

Embrace your coffee with the Hug-a-Mug. It’s double-walled for protection from burns and it has inlaid hand prints so you can grasp it in a way that’s almost sensual.

If you want to get some energy while arousing the suspicions of any nearby cops, try Le Whif’s coffee inhaler. Puff the lipstick shaped device and coffee will fly through the air at the end of the Le Whif cylinder and sprinkle onto your tongue through small holes in the mouthpiece. Each stick will provide up to nine “hits” and 100 milligrams of caffeine, which is equivalent to a cup of espresso. They also have a chocolate version available.

If you recall, I recently lamented the fact that these Canon 70-to-200mm L-series white lens coffee mugs were given to reporters at the Olympic Press Center, but were not available to the general public. This isn’t the first time the concept of integrating lens and mug has been toyed with, but up until this point no actual products have materialized.
Well, it seems that Canon was preparing to offer it all along—the mugs are now available for pre-order as a Canon Canada exclusive priced at $30 CAD or $29 US. Shipping starts on April 16th.

Apparently, Canon gave out these insulated coffee mugs shaped like a 70-to-200mm L-series white lens at the Olympics press center. Obviously, this ranks up there among the coolest swag ever handed out.
Interestingly enough, a similar concept popped up a few years ago. The idea was popular then and it’s popular now—so why hasn’t a manufacturer like Canon made a version of this mug available to the public? It would sell like crazy.
