After the tremendous success of their Star Wars Super Bowl commercial last year, Volkswagen is going back to the well in 2012 with dogs barking the Imperial March. It even features what appears to be a total ripoff of the AT-AT dog Bones that we are so fond of.

Cute kids and dogs—the staple of all Super Bowl advertising. Check out the ad after the break.

GameStop is one of those companies on everyone’s sh*t list for shady business practices and ripping people off on used games, but is it better to get kicked in the nuts for $8 a pop? Not surprisingly GameStop competitor Glyde.com seems to think so.

PlayStation recently launched a new campaign: “Long Live Play.” New ad campaigns usually mean big news, but nothing’s dropped so far except for this ad—but it is pretty fantastic.

The video features a Mos Eisley Cantina of sorts, but instead of aliens, the patrons are the stars of high profile video games. Nathan Drake from Uncharted, characters from Assassin’s Creed, Chimera aliens, and more are gathering to cheer one person: Michael. He’s the player who gives them all life. Way to raise your glass to the consumer, Sony. Well played.

A couple of weeks ago we came across a video of Christopher Lloyd reprising his role as Doc Brown for what appeared to be a commercial for an Argentinian electronics store named Garbarino.

Well, the a full commercial spot has been released, and it’s pretty hard to watch if you are a BTTF fan. Plus, there’s a fake press conference that’s downright terrible. Check out the videos after the break and let us know what you think.

A viral video has emerged from Argentina featuring Christoper Lloyd reprising his role as Doc Brown. The specific purpose of the ad has not been clarified—though it seems pretty obvious that local electronics store “GARBARINO” might have something to do with it.

At any rate, seeing Doc Brown in a DeLorean again fills us with delight (and a faint hope for another sequel). Check out the commercial and a behind-the-scenes video after the break.

The original Portal was a huge success, so Valve is taking things a lot more seriously this time around. This is true not only with the game itself but also with the promotion. Check out the first commercial for Portal 2 leading up to its release in April.

We’re going to have fun…with science!

This Vokswagen ad is set to air during the Super Bowl this year and it features a little kid dressed like Darth Vader who is becoming increasingly frustrated at his inability to harness the power of the Force. It’s freakin’ adorable and it almost makes me want to buy a Passat and drive around with a Vader helmet on.

I wouldn’t describe Mac’s retorts as “witty” and I don’t remember PC having a Hitler mustache.
