Now that I look at the shirt close up, that camera seems a little strange—like it has a real lens on it. Well, that settles it. Frankie, go get the baseball bats and lets do this thing.
Indeed, behind that camera is an actual, working camera than can snap 150 pics at 640×480 resolution and upload them later to a computer via USB. The electronics are removable, so you are safe to wash the blood off it in a normal washing machine at your convenience.

We’ve seen plenty of cellphone and camera flasks in the past, but they were more novelty pieces than anything. Not something truly useful for the alcoholic trying to hide his shame. These versions, on the other hand, take discretion seriously.

There’s something so contrived about smiling in photos. Seriously, my school portraits weren’t much more than mugshots with some lame wilderness scene in the background. Why not take the “work” out of getting photographed with a camera that does the smiling for you? That is the concept behind the Artificial Smile camera from designers Stefan Stubbe and Andreas Schmelas of the of University of the Arts, Berlin.

If you recall, I recently lamented the fact that these Canon 70-to-200mm L-series white lens coffee mugs were given to reporters at the Olympic Press Center, but were not available to the general public. This isn’t the first time the concept of integrating lens and mug has been toyed with, but up until this point no actual products have materialized.
Well, it seems that Canon was preparing to offer it all along—the mugs are now available for pre-order as a Canon Canada exclusive priced at $30 CAD or $29 US. Shipping starts on April 16th.

Apparently, Canon gave out these insulated coffee mugs shaped like a 70-to-200mm L-series white lens at the Olympics press center. Obviously, this ranks up there among the coolest swag ever handed out.
Interestingly enough, a similar concept popped up a few years ago. The idea was popular then and it’s popular now—so why hasn’t a manufacturer like Canon made a version of this mug available to the public? It would sell like crazy.
