film

Bad news for those hoping for a third installment of Ghostbusters… Dan Aykroyd has confirmed that Bill Murray will not do the movie. To make matters worse (depending on how you look at it), he is also reporting that the whole project is in limbo:

At this point it’s in suspended animation. The studio, the director Ivan Reitman and Harold Ramis feel there must be a way to do it, but Bill Murray will not do the movie. He doesn’t want to be involved. He’s got six kids, houses all over America. He golfs in these tournaments where they pay him to turn up and have a laugh. He’s into this life and living it. I know we’d have a lot of fun…I can’t be mad at him. He’s a friend first, a colleague second. We have a deep personal relationship that transcends business and he doesn’t want to know.

If you were already disappointed with the “torch passing” theme they had for the film, the absence of Bill Murray as Peter Venkman will likely turn you off completely. Hopefully these guys will learn from the Star Wars prequels and the last Indiana Jones and shelve this idea before they tarnish the franchise.

film-roll-picture-frame

Since the majority of you have not seen a film roll in years, and some have possibly never used one, this picture frame is almost an antique the minute you buy it. The whole idea of using film to capture pictures and just how fickle that medium could be will probably amuse today’s younger crowd. It is still a nice way to show off pictures that you actually thought enough about to print rather than just post to your Facebook.

flim-clock

The world may have moved on to digital photography for the most part, but there are still plenty of die-hard traditionalists out there that are sticking with old-fashioned film. For the latter group I present this LCD clock in its film-shaped form.
