Supposedly snail gel has a lot of healing properties that make it useful to restore skin and as an anti-wrinkle cream. So someone has gathered that gel and made a product out of it.
If you would rather use this gel than let a snail crawl across your face, you may be in the majority. I think if you want the healing properties, there is nowhere better to go than the source, though. You want snail gel, you get a snail.
