On the Firefly set, the actual pistol Nathan Fillion wore while playing Captain Malcolm Reynolds was almost heavy enough to pull his pants down. One way to avoid that awkward (or awesome, depending on your perspective) situation is to make a replica from paper. Matthew Milam did just that. This pistol is sculpted from paper and then painted with faux metal and wood finishes. The best ammunition for papercraft pistols is spitwads.

It’s pouring outside my window right now. If I had the right weapon to fend of mother nature I might venture out for lunch but, alas, I do not posses the Gunbrella. So I guess it’s PB&J for me this afternoon.
As you can see the Gunbrella is, well…an umbrella shaped like a gun. It also has a pop gun style BANG! graphic printed on the canopy.
On the other hand, for those of you who prefer to look your enemy in the eye there are plenty of sword umbrellas out there. Choose your weapon wisely.

Awesomeness. The only problem is that if your six D batteries run out on this thing, it’s dead in the water. Check out a video of it in action after the break.
Believe it or not, it is actually a 125 piece puzzle that can be broken down and reformed into a pistol and various pistol-related tools.
The sculpture includes everything required for assembly of the puzzle pistol. Integrated into the sculpture are a customized set of tools, all necessary hardware, 45 caliber bullets, a standard sight, a laser sight, a cannister containing black powder pellets, a secure storage area for 209 shotgun primers, a spent primer removal tool and a ramrod for loading the bullets.
Of course, you have to know exactly how to put the pieces together, which would likely result in your untimely death in the event of a break-in. Check out the completed gun after the break.
This concept from designer Alex Marshall seems to blatantly pander to nerds by exploiting our love of weapons and Post-its (there is even a steampunk version). The only problem is that the combination doesn’t make sense – kind of like if someone invented a gaming console that doubles as a bacon cooker (note to self).
The food hogs at your dinner table will need to learn how to duel when you come to the table with these flintlock handled utensils. They will have to decide whether that extra piece of steak is worth a possible bullet wound.

I don’t care whether this shades wearing, gut hanging out bear money bank is pulling a bank heist or preventing one—either way the bear has a weapon and is prepared to use it in the name of my money’s safety. That is more effort than even I am willing to exert.

Start out learning with these blocks instead of conventional ones and you may end up as a terrible speller who happens to be able to field strip a machine gun blindfolded…with his ass cheeks. The disassembled gun is pictured after the break.
