The same company that brought us live action Duck Hunter showed off a skeet shooting prototype at CES back in January, and it seems that the product is now available for purchase.

Like the Duck Hunter game before it, the targets register and react to hits from the IR gun. In this case, disks are shot up to 7-feet in the air at either 2-second or 10-second intervals. When a target is “hit”, it will break apart into two pieces.

I understand where Mike Haeg is coming from with his Bluetooth pistol. I hate talking on the phone too.

That having been said, the Bluetooth headset he embedded inside a plastic toy gun is actually pretty awesome. To answer a call, all you have to do is pull the trigger. It’s like playing Russian Roulette with your social circle. Eventually you are going to pull the trigger and someone you can’t stand is going to be on the other line.

This trusty Dead Space standby weapon may not fire actual plasma rounds, but the replica does feature the signature 3-blast spot laser light when the trigger is pulled. A slightly less expensive version uses LEDs.

This $400 golden gun prop from 1974 Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun is authentic in every way—right down to the 18k gold plating. It can even be assembled and unassembled just like the original.

And while you are wasting money on expensive James Bond collectibles, can I interest you in a set of metal Jaws teeth signed by Richard Kiel? Maybe your Grandparents need a new set of dentures? $200 is probably cheaper than a real set, and an old man wearing Jaws teeth will certainly keep the staff at the nursing home on their toes.

I had my Memorial Day cookout festivities yesterday, and I used the opportunity to conduct another review for our BBQ ‘n Beer prize pack contest from Stupid.com. This time I got to shoot my brother (and fellow Nerd Approved editor) Jonathan with tiny marshmallows from the Marshmallow Shooter rifle. So could I pelt him from a considerable distance?

The Mforcer looks like a ray gun and it can shoot up to 15 mini marshmallows in rapid succession.  No hot chocolate is safe.

For bigger targets like s’mores, you’ll need a full size marshmallow blaster to back you up. And remember, we are actually giving one away in our BBQ ‘n Beer contest.

I’ve seen mugs with triggers before, but this version goes a step further with an entire gun handle. Plus, every time you take a sip you’ll look cooler holding it gangster style.

You may have seen one of Weta’s full-scale District 9 gun replicas in the past, but those don’t come cheap at $499. However, the company has recently launched a line of  highly-detailed 1/4 scale replicas that come in at a more reasonable $99. The assault rifle is first on the list, but I would expect other models to follow soon. Better hurry though—only 750 were produced and even the large scale versions go fast.

Speaking of that, if you don’t mind shelling out full price for the full scale models, the Gas Projector is still available.

It’s getting hot and humid outside—but you can beat the heat by shooting yourself in the head. But before you reach for a real gun, try out this gun-shaped personal fan instead. The cap on the end can be removed to reveal soft plastic fan blades and the trigger functions as the on/off switch.
