If you have some mechanical know-how and would like to literally scare the piss out of trick or treaters this Halloween, consider a homemade, legless, crawling RC Zombie. Check out a video of the Zombie in action after the jump.
The world’s largest pumpkin (1,818.5 lbs) was recently put under the knife at the New York Botanical Garden, where carving master Ray Villafane created a badass sculpture of zombies busting through the shell. Check out some additional images after the break.
Whatever your costume for Halloween, it’s sure to be improved by these steampunked up trick or treat buckets. DeviantArt user Yamiguru created this tutorial to make it easy for everyone to transform the plastic pumpkin into something more appealing. I haven’t tested this theory, but I bet a cooler looking treat bag gets you more treats.

I loved making my haunted houses with friends every Halloween when I was a kid. My basement was dark, dank, filled with old junk and home to creepy crawlies that are probably unknown to science — in other words, naturally terrifying. Halloween is still one of my favorite holidays, but these days, without that eery basement, I’d have to step up my game with props, gadgets and toys like the ones featured here.
The Death Star pumpkin after the break isn’t half bad either.
