Hasbro is releasing an electronic version of Thor’s mighty hammer that features flashing lights and thunder sounds at the push of a button. But the best part is that the damn thing fires a missile. A MISSILE!

You can pre-order the hammer now for a March release.

Hasbro is bringing an View-Master/Virtual-Boy experience to the iPhone and iPod touch starting this Spring with an add-on dubbed “My3D.”

The $30 kit will be used with some specially designed apps that allow for 3D tracking—and that’s the kind of thing that can move this idea beyond a mere gimmick. Basically, it allows you to view a 360 degree virtual world in 3D through your iPhone binoculars.

So far there is a lot of talk about apps for movie trailers and educational apps where viewers are given virtual tours of museums, landmarks and undersea worlds. Naturally, there is also talk of the vast gaming potential of something like this. Thanks to improvements in technology, “my3D” could succeed where the Virtual Boy failed. It all really depends on whether or not they can deliver a library of quality apps.

Hasbro has decided to unleash (see what I did there?) details and images of a geektastic plethora of retailer exclusives this holiday season and we’ve got details.

I’m sure different folks will have different faves, but I’m personally going to be asking Santa for the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Rise of Boba Fett Ultimate Battle Pack, Jabba’s Throne and the Imperial Tie Bomber.

Hm, I guess that shows a preference for the Dark Side? ;-)

Full list after the jump.

I’m already a fan of the new line of Star Wars Vintage Action Figures, but I need to give an extra special shout out to the new Wave 3.

Any set that has Wicket the Ewok, a kick ass Gamorrean Guard and R2-D2 with the Lightsaber and a Drink Tray on his head is one I’m gonna love.

We first got a peek of Hasbro’s R/C Iron Man back in February, but it’s only now that the toy has become available for pre-order. Plus, it won’t ship till August.

That’s a little late for the film in theaters, but it’s early for the DVD/Blu-ray release which appears to be going down on September 28th. Check out the toy in action after the break.

Was “The Force” simply a figment of George Lucas’ imagination, or is it a real power that is all around us? My guess is that the real Force exists with Star Wars-themed merchandise, and it is constantly beckoning us to open up our wallets. The following 10 Star Wars products have definitely harnessed that power.

Hasbro continues the theme of awesome remote controlled toys with this R/C Iron Man action figure which will retail for about $50 whenever it hits the shelves. Among its many cool features are shoulder and arm projectile blasters, sound effects and the ability to walk over any smooth surface. However, there’s no flying feature, and he doesn’t have the ability to reason, so unless you want to pretend that Iron Man has severe emotional problems, there’s no need to walk him off the edge of a table.
