hello kitty

tmnt hello kitty

Your favorite heroes in a half shell just got a dose of feline cuteness. Hello Kitty goes with everything, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. My favorite part about these six inch figures is that the bows match the masks. It’s pretty perfect.

They don’t seem easy to track down though. The figures are limited to 1,000 pieces and appear to be $73 each. They look like they are available through DCT, but since I can’t read Japanese I can’t tell for sure.

hello kitty robot mech 2

The best Hello Kitty toy is not a cute and cuddly plush, it’s this new action figure from Sanrio and Bandai. Since both brands are celebrating their 40th anniversary, they’re releasing this beast to mark the occasion. It’s a Hello Kitty mech with an array of fantastic features. I can’t decide if I like the shooting rocket fists or the miniature Hello Kitty operator that goes inside the head more. Probably the miniature since it’s only .9 inches tall to fit inside the 4 inch figure, but it’s a tough choice.

You’ll be able to track this toy down next summer (June 2014) and it will cost you less than $50. I’m going to need one.

earless 2

You just never know what moments of boredom will bring. It could lead to exciting inventions or fascinating stories but sometimes – perhaps most of the time – it leads to silly things like removing ears from well known cartoon characters. The ear-less trend started in a thread on 2ch, Japan’s largest forum, and suddenly we have altered Pikachu, Hello Kitty, Mickey Mouse, and more. As it turns out, ears add a lot of character.

Be traumatized by ear-less cartoons after the break.

spider

Instead of just being a comforter with a picture of Spider-Man swinging through the sky, this bedding actually turns your bed into Spider-Man. It comes with a stuffed head, arms, and feet and zips right up over a twin mattress set.

Hello Kitty can make any franchise hit an insane level of  precious – including Street Fighter.

Toynami offered a Hello Kitty and Chun Li plush at Comic-Con, and it flew off the shelves. If you weren’t among the lucky few to snag one you can make up for it by pre-ordering these cute PVC action figures featuring six Street Fighter characters mashed up with Sanrio goodness. The figures (they come two per pack) are estimated to arrive in March 2013.

While not working as an illustrator at a New Zealand ad agency, artist Joseph Senior turns Hello Kitty from a mouthless cat with a giant head into the likes of Thor, Loki, Optimus Prime, TMNT characters and many more.

Aperture Science appears to have a secret project spearheaded by robot engineer Chris Myles to develop pocket-sized personality cores.

Not one to miss out of an opportunity to pimp their products, Sanrio has also sponsored their very own Hello Kitty version.

Check out more of Cris Myles’ custom props in the video after the break.
