We all know that lasers hold tremendous potential for all kinds of useful gadgetry. However, they can also be used for dangerous weapons and bizarre, pointless devices – and few are more pointlessly dangerous than ones featured in this list.

The folks at Wicked Lasers recently held a Facebook vote regarding the possibility of attaching a laser to a shark for real. If enough people Liked the idea, they would make it happen. Well enough people did, and Wicked Lasers came through and built a 50-milliwatt death machine.
The laser isn’t attached to his head, but we’ll take it. Check out an additional image after the break.
After releasing their Spyder III handheld laser, which got them into hot water with LucasFilm over its lightsaber-like appearance, Wicked Lasers is back with the new S3 Krypton Series.
Besides looking cool, this laser is actually being reviewed by Gunniess World Records because it may be the world’s brightest (and most dangerous) handheld laser, offering a range of 85-miles and producing 86 million lux brightness, making it appear over 8,000 times brighter than looking at the sun. If you purchased the Dead Space 2 Collector’s Edition, you also received a mini plasma cutter replica. It’s pretty cool and all, but it would be a lot better if the LEDs were replaced with real lasers.
The video after the break shows you how (with a really annoying voiceover).

It seems that the failed lawsuit from LucasFilm over the being referred to as a lightsaber has created a marketing monster over at Wicked Lasers.
So, in celebration of Star Wars Day, this purveyor of stupidly powerful handheld lasers has unveiled a double-headed Sith series Spyder III.

Wicked Lasers’ Spyder III may be a dangerous laser weapon, but even that doesn’t compare to this homemade Pulse Laser created by Patrick Priebe.
First of all, it looks awesome. Second, it features a small pulse laser head, capable of generating a kW pulse of coherent infrared light. When focused, a single shot can burn through a razorblade, plastic and 5mm Styrofoam.
Check out a video of the gun in action after the break.

You already know WickedLasers as the lunatics behind some of the most powerful consumer laser technology on the market (we have even been known to give their lasers away from time to time), but they may have crossed the line from laser pointer to lightsaber with their new Spyder III.
