At this point you are probably very aware of Samsung’s woes regarding the Galaxy Note 7 and it’s tendency to uh…violently explode. The phones have caused a great deal of destruction, which is no laughing matter—but the fact that someone added it to GTA 5 as a bomb mod is probably chuckle-worthy for even the most die-hard Android fan. Nothing in any of the DOOM games is as terrifying and obnoxious as what you are about to witness. At around the 1:00 mark you’ll probably feel your sanity begin to slip away. [click to continue…]
A lot of sites are touting this delightful handheld build dubbed the Game Boy Zero as a “modded” or “hacked” classic Game Boy, which is technically inaccurate. No, this project uses the outer casing of the old-school grey-brick Game Boy, but the internal hardware is a Raspberry Pi running Emulation Station. It also sports four front-facing buttons, shoulder triggers, a rechargeable battery, a full-color screen and an HDMI output (my personal favorite addition), in case you want to play your favorite retro games on your full-size telly.
ROMs are read via a Micro SD card inserted into a classic Game Boy cartridge that’s been given a similarly heavy modification, so you can easily load the thing up with all of your favorites from Donkey Kong Country to Pokémon Crystal and beyond.

Using an Arduino Uno and an Xbox controller, tinkerer Dave Stein turned a 1981 Kenner AT-AT Walker into an awesome remote controlled toy.
Combine an Arduino Uno, an Adafruit Servo Shield, Xbox 360 Controller, and a beat-up 1981 Kenner At-At Walker and the result is the toy I always wanted when I was a kid. If you played with this toy growing up you will probably remember how clumsy it was and difficult to move around.
The goal of this project was to take my old beat up AT-AT Walker and make it walk. There were many different obstacles I had to overcome to complete the project such as quadrupedal movement, learning how to use an Arduino microcontroller, basic electronics and breadboarding, not damaging the plastic components of the toy during fabrication, configuring an Xbox controller to make the AT-AT move, etc…
Impressive, but he could have saved a lot of time and effort and just bought this.
See the toy in action (along with some tests) in the videos below.
There are many different ways to unleash total destruction upon Los Santos. But now, thanks to a mod by JulioNIB, you can lay waste to Los Santos as the Hulk. It just feels right.
You can jump for miles, toss trains like they’re made out of styrofoam or even use the Hulk’s thunderclap to send bad guys flying through the air.

Ronda Rousey vs. Floyd Mayweather is a fight that will never happen in real life, but if you would love to see Rousey beat the crap out of Mayweather, the following video might prove satisfying. Game designer Richie Branson notes:
Well, now we know who would win if Floyd Mayweather and Ronda Rousey fought. I got bored and decided to play around with some texture files in my PC installation of Street Fighter IV. The result is this mayweather vs. rousey mod, lol. To eliminate bias, i simulated the Mayweather v. Rousey fight with both fighters controlled by the CPU.

This mod of Bethesda’s last Elder Scrolls release by Modder UniqueUses is called “Toon Skyrim”, and we are itching to try it out. Unfortunately, it’s still a work in progress:
“I’m basically making my own potato texture mod, with an enb [a visual mod] and weather that goes with it to help hide that ugly lod [level of detail],” said UniqueUses on reddit. “I like the potato texture style, but I think a lot of fixing up needs to be done for it to be playable. So I’m going to attempt to make things like signs and faces readable but still fit the potato style. For example, certain puzzles need to be seen, so I’m going to edit those.”
Basically, he’s looking to use a mod that gives a new visual feel to the game but doesn’t add all the extra stuff that slows down your FPS. If you’ve ever had to lower your visual quality to keep your framerates from making it impossible to play a game, you know what a lifesaver this can be.
Plus, it looks gorgeous.

This mod is both cool and incredibly annoying. User mallo has replaced all the sounds in Doom with sounds he made with his own voice. Guns, chainsaws, you name it. It’s a funny mod, but I don’t know how long I could handle it.
