Holy Musical B@man! has taken the stage, and it’s everything you would expect. It starts with Bruce Wayne losing his parents and then Bruce donning on the infamous crimefighter costume. It reminds me a lot of the Adam West Batman but with catchy music. To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations but I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. I don’t know if I’d pay to see it in person, but it’s good, silly, cheesy fun.
Check out Act 1, Part 1 below. Warning: it contains language not suitable for kids or people who don’t like cursing.

When you think about Marty McFly racing around on his skateboard, you might not think an a cappella soundtrack would be the best accompaniment. You’d be wrong. Matt Mulholland translates music by Alan Silvestri into a one man audio multitrack, and it absolutely works.
Listen to the a cappella score in the video after the break.

We talk a lot about killing zombies on Nerd Approved, but we never stopped and thought whether or not these monsters still live…and love. Enter Rigamortis: A Zombie Love Story…the musical.
Rigamortis takes place shortly after humanity has put down a recent zombie outbreak. The last two zombies left “undead” are looking for their place in the world, while one lonely zombie hunter’s newfound fame and glory can’t fill the hole in his heart left by the recent loss of his now undead love. The characters are forced to confront zombies, angry mobs, double-barreled shotguns, and an ever-dangerous thing called love, until fate brings them all face to face in an explosive finale.
I don’t know…singing zombies are just going to make my trigger finger itchier.
At any rate, Dr. Horrible and Thriller fans may find something to enjoy in this low budget musical zombie comedy. For a limited time, you can check out the entire 40 minute movie after the break.

“Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,” which, at $65 million, is Broadway’s most expensive production ever, turned out to be an “epic flop” as theatergoers complained about a “dull score”, “baffling script,” and numerous, embarrassing technical failures. The highly anticipated U2-penned musical, which held its inaugural show over the weekend at the Great White Way’s Foxwoods Theater, had to be stopped four times in the first act alone, due to various equipment malfunctions.

Nice little set of drums alarm clock to wake any of you music aficionados up in the morning. When the alarm goes off, the rock music will play to jolt you out of bed.
It would be nice if they changed it up a bit and had it actually play those drums for an alarm. That would be twice as cool, especially with a few hard hits of the cymbals during a drum solo.

Beautiful little beer money jar that is also a single song jukebox and alarmed safe. Maybe not the best of any of those things, but it does hold all your beer money so you have some to spend when the mood to drink comes upon you. And to act as a safe storage spot, it will play the Beer Run song when the lid is opened. That should be enough to get your attention. If you happen to be within about 20 feet of it, that is.
