This certainly isn’t the only NES-themed coffee table to come down the pipeline in recent years, but the difference here is that the buttons on the controller are actually functional and it will be available to own via eBay starting this Sunday, December 19th.

As you will see in the build video after the break, no detail was spared—even the back of the controller is accurate.

These handmade NES bedsheets caused quite a stir back in September, and the general consensus seemed to be that the person behind them would probably make some serious cash if the design was put up for sale. Well, it appears that she has taken that advice by offering up a brand new set of sheets on eBay.

Bidding begins at $350, so the sheets are probably going to be tough to sell, but if you are up for it hit the link below.

Squid Kids Ink’s new “So Analog” line of vinyl toys feature the superhero team of 10-Doh!, A-Drive an B-Side. When they’re not fighting against the forces of progress, they are mild mannered NES Cartridge, Cassette Tape and Floppy Disk—and they reside together in the Attic of Solitude.

There’s no telling whether or not these figures will go into production, but blank versions will be available at D-Con in Pasadena, CA on November 20th.

We’ve seen Game Boy skins for the iPhone 4, so I’m surprised it took this long for a NES controller version to surface. At any rate, it’s here if you want to add a little retro gaming flair to your phone.

I’ll tell you what, these retro NES bedsheets would make a killing if were ever sold on Etsy. Not to mention the fact that kids would have no trouble making the bed in the morning. It would also go great with this table.

I’ve seen giant NES controller coffee tables before, but this is truly the ultimate achievement in the ever-expanding world of furniture that looks like gaming gear.

If the dead-on oversized console build wasn’t amazing enough, consider this: the jumbo controller housed inside the cartridge bay is actually functional. There’s also a bay in the back for storage and two power outlets in place of the controller ports.

Back in the days before real video games, you might find someone on their front porch whittlin’ the day away making a wooden NES.

This sculpture was recently put up for sale on eBay, but it closed with no bids. Looks like all this publicity was a day late. Perhaps the owner will try again sometime in the near future.

In a sea of boob mousepads and nose hair desktop toys, we sometimes forget about all of the truly awesome stuff coming out of Japan. For instance, they have Famicom claw games over there.

For the equivalent of about $1, you can try your luck at scoring one of these retro cartridges. Sure, that’s probably about the same price you might find it in a bargain bin at an Akihabara shop, but that copy of After Burner will be that much sweeter since you earned it.

Combine dated 1982 and 1985 technology with a dash of pop culture, and you end up with this unique, functioning NES system which received a glow-in-the-dark Tron makeover courtesy of the chop shop team at Thretris. You can see it in action by checking out the video after the break.
