Organizing notes with string seems like something a crazy person would do while trying to find hidden messages from the CIA in newspaper personals ads, but there is a method to the madness. The colored threads can mark urgent messages or messages from a particular person.
And to up the craziness factor, new boards can be added on until you have a whole room covered in string and little notes that just might lead you to uncover the location of Atlantis.
