Each rider was equipped with an iPod touch loaded with a custom app that measured airtime and triggered custom graphics while in the air and during landings.

French artist Nils Guadagnin has actually made a working hoverboard like the one we all lusted after in Back to the Future II. Unfortunately, a kitten is probably the only thing capable of riding it—but hey, it’s a start. It gives me hope that when I’m 60 I might be able to get back into skateboarding because hoverboards are finally a reality.

These highly detailed 8″-10″vinyl figures designed by artist Tsuchiya Shobu portray a group of skaters taken abruptly in a horrible half-pipe accident. Now they walk the earth as zombies desperately trying to land the trick they missed. Additional figures are available after the break.

If you’ve ever been in a furnished model home, you’ll understand when I say this would be the perfect piece of furniture for a generic boy’s room. Maybe with the words “Rad”, “Gnarley” and “Shred” painted on the walls in pointy letters to compliment all the other sports knick knacks and Tony Hawk posters that are mounted at super cool 45 degree angles.
