Scalextric is creating officially licensed Star Wars slot racer sets that are due out later this year. The first is a 1/64 scale micro set called “Death Star Attack”, which pits Vader’s TIE Fighter against Luke’s X-wing as they race around a glow in the dark track. The second, entitled “Battle Of Endor”, is a 1/32 scale set that races Imperial Speeder bikes around a woodland themed track.

If you are tired of running Sonic around in video games, you can use this racing set to pit him against Tails in a live action race. There is no real Super Sonic action to him, but if you time him getting to the crossover at the same time as Tails, something will go flying across the room. Not quite the same, but as good as it gets.

You may think racing your Ferraris and Lamborghinis around is cool, but you stand no chance when racing against the new age Batmobile. There is no fire shooting out the back of this Batmobile a la Adam West’s version, but there is no question you will be the coolest racer when you show up with this one. I can’t imagine there is anyone that doesn’t find slot racing cool, especially with Batman involved.
