Say it with me. Tauntaun Tsum Tsum. Yep. Disney is releasing ten new Hoth Tsum Tsums including Leia, 2-1B, a wampa, Luke, Han, and a Tauntaun.

But it gets better. I think you can see why. [click to continue…]

Hasbro has just revealed two new figures in their Star Wars Black Series Series 6-Inch Deluxe figures and they’re oh, so shiny.

You can also get a case of figures with a Biker Scout with Speeder Bike and two of the Han Solo with TaunTaun (arriving in April), or you can buy the Han and TaunTaun separately (arriving in June).

Ppre-ordering is usually a good thing when it comes to figures like these.

bowman - wood at-at

Remember those awesome tauntaun rocking horses? Like you could forget. A commenter on io9 has identifed the creator as Chuck Bowman, a.k.a. The WoodChuck. The master craftsman makes products like the rocking horse, AT-ATs, and wood weapons (he’s even created pistols, rifles, and the like for 501st members) by hand for commissions. He doesn’t even use CAD, a router, or resin casting. I bet if he was the project lead on the Death Star there wouldn’t have been any weaknesses.

You can grab his contact information from his site to see about placing an order (then please invite me over so I can ride your tauntaun rocking horse).

Check out a sampling of Bowman’s work and see the rocking horse tauntauns in action after the break.

Comedian Bill Hader is a huge Star Wars fan and, like every fan, would kill to be in the new movies. He proved just how badly he wants a part by doing some hilarious impersonations of Star Wars characters during a recent interview with Conan O’Brien. His choices were a dying tauntaun and a dying Jabba the Hutt.

I’m not sure if J.J. Abrams will be ringing him up, but the man does have some made fake-dying skills.

tauntaun rocking horse

Sometimes wonderful treasures appear on the internet and no one takes credit; that’s the case with these fantastic tauntaun rocking horses. The design is clever and since there are two of them, part of me hopes that someone makes and sells them. Because I need an adult-sized one in my life to take in my backyard when it snows so I can pretend I’m on Hoth.

I don’t care how they smell on the outside, they look fantastic as rugs. This tauntaun skin rug was designed by Malaki Keller as a 1:1 scale version of a taun taun for Autumn Massey who came up with the whole idea. It looks incredibly soft and the details on the head, right down to the horns and eyes, are gorgeous.

They may smell worse on the inside, but they are definitely more adorable on the outside when turned into cute little hobby horses. This Tauntaun hobby horse was a Star Wars Celebration VI exclusive for the kids. No, it’s not grown-up sized so you’ll just have to imagine it’s a very small pony if you buy this for yourself.

This is available in very limited quantities so order now!
