aaaahhhhhhKellogg’s has teamed up with, y’know, some soda people, to bring the world two new flavors of Pop Tarts – Crush Orange and A&W Root Beer.

Pop-Tarts Frosted A&W Root Beer are bubbling with root beer-flavored filling, wrapped inside a golden crust, and are topped with sweet white frosting and brown, red and orange crunchlets. Pop-Tarts Frosted Crush Orange citrus-flavored filling will tingle your taste buds with its sweet white frosting and orange string icing.

This prompts us to ask the question: Is this it? Are we done? Is the apocalypse nigh? Are two of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse really into Pop-Tarts? And if so, which ones? I suspect Famine is a fan. Maybe Death? It’s probably Death.

1-27Social psychologist Erika D. Price has devised a system of ranking breakfast cereals, although she apparently doesn’t stand by it.

We don’t know what criteria was used to achieve the final results—but it doesn’t matter. The results are subjective. In fact, the list will likely receive instant rejection when people discover that Raisin Bran was placed in the mid tier and Cap’n Crunch didn’t event make it into the mix.

download-e1461629065585From That’s Nerdalicious: One of the best things in the recent Lootcrate Firefly Crate was a little 4-pack of paper drink umbrellas based on Kaylee’s parasol. I didn’t want to use them because I only had four, but QMx has solved that problem.

They’ve released the new Kaylee Parasol drink umbrellas in packs of 30, so you can have a Firefly shindig and make sure everyone gets one.

How shiny is that?

ectocoolerThe rumors were true. We’ve just received the official word from Coca-Cola that Hi-C Ecto Cooler is making a comeback to coincide with the upcoming release of the new Ghostbusters film.

This cult favorite beverage from the ’80s and ’90s (not to mention the favorite choice of my mother for school lunches) will be available nationwide in 6 oz juice boxes and 11.5 oz cans (with “thermal ink that turns an eerie shade of slime green when the product inside is cold”) starting on May 30th.

timburtonbar-drink4Restaurants and bars with nerdy themes are definitely in right now. Honestly, I’m surprised it took this long for one of these establishments to focus on the work of Tim Burton. Imagine how awesome that could be.

Okay. Stop imagining. Beetle House in NYC is about to make it happen.

Taking cues from films old and new, the menu features drinks such as the Chocolate Factory Martini, the Headless Horseman and the Bride’s Butterflies. There are even drinks based on Burton’s less mainstream movies, such as the Glen or Glenda (inspired by his Ed Wood biopic).

4-2Cafe DALA 100%-CHOCOLATE in Busan, South Korea has taken food art to a whole new level with their giant chocolate dinosaur egg dessert.

The chocolate egg is positioned on top of a nest of shaved chocolate ice cream and contains a chocolate dinosaur sitting atop a chocolate ice cream yolk mound.

Chocolate, uh, finds a way.

Getting inside the egg can be accomplished via two methods: pouring warm chocolate syrup over it in order to melt the shell, or simply cracking it open with a silver mallet.

nebula cakeSo far, 2016 has been a good year for spaceflight. For example: Astronaut Scott Kelly spent a year in space, and SpaceX finally landed a rocket on a floating barge. Seems like a good time to celebrate all things space with this Black Velvet Nebula Cake from SprinkleBakes.
