Hot Toys has just teased their upcoming Tron: Legacy Sam Flynn Light Cycle figure via their Facebook page, and it looks pretty incredible to say the least.
No word on a price or release date yet, but they did say it would be arriving “very soon”. Let’s hope that means sometime around the same time as the December 17th launch of the movie.

Screw FourSquare, I wanna be the Mayor of The Grid.
We all know traffic can be a pain, but now you can use your iPhone GPS to plot courses for Tron: Legacy LightCycle battles on your morning commute.
Per the folks at Coke (who branded the game) the new LiveCycle iPhone app is ” The first location-based video game that lets you play a real-life version of Tron: Legacy”. It uses your location to create light trails and you get points when other people crash into your trails. Plus it’s completely free.

As mash-ups go, this mix of Willy Wonka and Tron:Legacy is pretty darn good. Truth be told, I’d never seen the paternal aspects of the Charlie/Wonka dynamic until I watched this.
And Rob at Topless Robot is right—it makes Willy Wonka seem less creepy, but the Oompa Loompas still freak me out no matter what they’re saying. Check out the video after the break.

We’ve seen so many trailers, posters, videos and products for Tron:Legacy that I feel like I’ve already seen the movie. Still, it’s almost impossible to get enough…almost.
Check out the third full length trailer after the video—this one digs a little deeper into the story as opposed to just lightcycle battles.

UD Replicas definitely has a good thing going by transforming costumes from our favorite nerdy films into motorcycle suits. We’ve already seen it with Batman, Wolverine and Iron Man—but now it’s TRON’s turn.

From Fashionably Geek: Before you get too excited, no—these Tron sneakers from adidas don’t actually have embedded lights. It uses “glow in the dark stitch detailing and reflective TRON disk screenprints to echo the lighting, color schemes and self-illuminated costumes featured in the film.”
Interesting…because the black shoes shouldn’t “glow” blue. But I digress…
So, from the right angle, your shoes will look straight out of Flynn’s Arcade. And pairing them with one of these glow-in-the-dark Tron hoodies is a must. Look for the shoes to arrive in December 2010.
