Disney XD recently released a new trailer for their new TRON: Uprising animated series, which will debut June 7 on the Disney XD network. The series is set between the original TRON and the Legacy sequel, and focuses on Tron’s training of a young program called “Beck”, which will act as a successor to take his place defending the The Grid from Clu 2.

The new series features character design work by Robert Valley, storyboards by Eric Canete, and music by Daft Punk collaborator Joseph Trapanese. The voice cast includes Elijah Wood, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Mandy Moore, Nate Corddry, Lance Henriksen, Paul Reubens (aka Pee-Wee Herman), Reginald VelJohnson and Bruce Boxleitner.

It also looks fantastic. Check out the trailer after the break.

Parker Brothers Custom Choppers delivered a gasoline-powered, street-legal TRON light cycle last year (you actually buy it on Hammacher Schlemmer right now for $55,000), but now they are back with a version that’s a lot more appropriate for the TRON universe.

That’s because the new version is powered by lithium batteries and a 96-volt electric motor that’s (supposedly) capable of a top speed of 100 mph. It can also go 100 miles on a single 15-35 minute charge with enough juice left over for that signature TRON lighting.

The Parker Bros. are working on making the bike street legal, but they warn that it won’t be for heavy duty use. Pricing and availability have not been announced, but you can check out a prototype of the bike in action in the video after the break.

Tron Guy may not have any actual talent, but I think he’s found a niche as a pitchman for Duck brand duct tape.

Push bikes (or balance bikes) are a great way for kids to learn, but this custom Light Cycle version from Trek designer Ryan Callahan is clearly too cool for preschool. The only problem is that it’s a one-off concept bike created for a recent TrekWorld trade show.

However, we’re still holding out hope that your kid could be derezzing other kids on the playground sometime in the near future.

Brett King has taken the world of TRON outside of the computer and brought it to board gaming with huge success.

The program abides.

Well, if you follow Ricky Brigante’s lead all you need is some reflective tape and a strand of battery-powered LED Christmas lights and you can turn your Segway i2 into a Tron-ed out personal transport vehicle.

You also have the option of modifying a Skatecycle for a similar effect or going all out with an actual street legal Light Cycle.

Check out the video after the break.
