Parker Brothers Custom Choppers delivered a gasoline-powered, street-legal TRON light cycle last year (you actually buy it on Hammacher Schlemmer right now for $55,000), but now they are back with a version that’s a lot more appropriate for the TRON universe.
That’s because the new version is powered by lithium batteries and a 96-volt electric motor that’s (supposedly) capable of a top speed of 100 mph. It can also go 100 miles on a single 15-35 minute charge with enough juice left over for that signature TRON lighting.
The Parker Bros. are working on making the bike street legal, but they warn that it won’t be for heavy duty use. Pricing and availability have not been announced, but you can check out a prototype of the bike in action in the video after the break.

Push bikes (or balance bikes) are a great way for kids to learn, but this custom Light Cycle version from Trek designer Ryan Callahan is clearly too cool for preschool. The only problem is that it’s a one-off concept bike created for a recent TrekWorld trade show.
However, we’re still holding out hope that your kid could be derezzing other kids on the playground sometime in the near future.

Well, if you follow Ricky Brigante’s lead all you need is some reflective tape and a strand of battery-powered LED Christmas lights and you can turn your Segway i2 into a Tron-ed out personal transport vehicle.
You also have the option of modifying a Skatecycle for a similar effect or going all out with an actual street legal Light Cycle.
