If you were excited about the prospect of a gritty Wolverine flick directed by Darren Arnofsky (Black Swan), prepare to have your hopes dashed. Arnofsky has decided to leave the film he was so pumped up about just a few months ago over concerns that it would keep him out of the country and away from his family for almost a year.
If that’s true, the reasons are noble—but this appears to becoming something of a habit for Aronofsky. He also dropped out of directing The Fighter which, as we all know, went on to success with David O Russel at the helm.

From Fashionably Geek: I’m not sure how they sound, but you would probably buy one of those old-timey ear horn hearing aids and call it headphones so long as it has Marvel branding. In celebration of the upcoming film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Hasbro is releasing a 10-inch tall action figure with electronic sounds and pop out claws. His twist-and-release torso even allows you to wind him up for a spring-loaded attack.

These Wolverine Claw prop replicas may not be made of Adamantium, but machined, hand-finished aluminum is not a bad substitute. Plus, the claws are authentically replicated from the X-Men movie props—right down to the stainless steel, thick wire and palm base attachment. Unfortunately, the claws are permanently attached to the display base, so making them a part of your next Wolverine costume is going to take a little work—not to mention a whole lot of pain if you want to be truly authentic.
