Star Wars Kid

Anyone who has seen the infamous “Star Wars Kid” video on the web (which should be everyone in the world by now) should know that in this day and age it is best not put your most private moments on video.

As you might imagine, the attention that the video has received has had decidingly negative impact on the personal life of it’s star. In fact, Ghyslain Raza a.k.a the “Star Wars Kid” decided to sue the three students who allegedly removed the video from a school T.V. production studio and uploaded it for the world to see.

Raza described the pain and suffering he endured from his “fame” as “simply unbearable.” He also said that the “situation left him feeling drained of energy, and that he let himself go and no longer lifted weights to keep fit. He said he was diagnosed with depression by a pedopsychiatrist at Montreal’s Sainte-Justine Hospital and his lawyers, in their fillings, said they wanted to have a psychiatrist and a psychologist testify, along with producing his medical file.”

Raza filed the lawsuit seeking $351,000 CAN from the three students – and has since settled for an undisclosed amount. Personally, I feel that this kid deserves, at the very least, to earn a share of the millions that have been made at his expense.
