Yahoo has announced that starting in May 2007, all current and future Yahoo Mail account holders will be given free unlimited storage. Compare that with Gmail, Yahoo’s next closest competitor, with its current 2.8GB capacity.

This also means that users that upgraded to the premium account are eligible for a refund if they request it.

A bold move for sure, but will it really win back users? I have to admit that I briefly considered it, that is until I heard that users will still be subject to Yahoo’s abuse policies which state that accounts cannot be used for online storage. So it looks like I will be sticking to my beloved Gmail for now.
