We Desperately Need These Scientifically Accurate Dinosaur Figures

It is the year 2016, and we now know that raptors had feathers. This means that all of your old Jurassic Park toys are, of course, horribly inaccurate and unacceptable. Time for an upgrade!

Fortunately toy sculptor David Silva is attempting to crowdfund a line of scientifically accurate raptor toys via Kickstarter, in a project he’s calling Beasts of the Mesozoic. The range will include three species of raptor – Velociraptor, Atrociraptor, and Tsaagan – and will be 1/6th scale with 26 points of articulation.

Silva’s also a seasoned sculptor, having produced toys for Hasbro and McFarlane, among others.

Silva is asking for $125,000, and at time of writing they’ve already received over $90,000 in pledges with 23 days left to go. So there’s a good chance this project will move forward.

Check out the project video below for more info.

Head on over to the Beasts of the Mesozoic Kickstarter page to get your own figures.
