The LTD Gallery in Seattle is hosting an art show inspired by George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire starting tomorrow, March 1st. One of the participating artists, Mick Minogue, is offering a unique take on some characters in the series. He’s created eight wooden action figures for a line of “Battle Damage” toys, choosing characters who carry visible scars of their fights and misfortunes. I’ve never seen art quite like this and can’t get over the craftsmanship. Minogue has put a ton of work into the characters and the toy packaging.
He’s revealed three of the figures in the collection so far – the Hound, Jaime Lannister, and Theon Greyjoy. He’ll be showing off one a day until Saturday and then all of them will be posted online.
Check out two more characters after the break. Beware spoilers through season three.
