One of my favorite things about the Star Wars community is the sense of creativity that it breeds in everyone. Much like the Force, inspiration permeates from the saga, inspiring fans to bring it to life in creative and awesome ways.
When Star Wars fan Tristan Elliott picked up the Hasbro Battle Action Millennium Falcon from The Force Awakens, that spark of inspiration reached the 23-year-old artist and graduate from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. His paint job turned a plain toy into a movie-ready model.
Check out Tristan’s process below.
Tristan described his love for the saga and how it inspired him to perfect his craft from an early age:
When I was a little kid I remember getting excited every time we got a new DVD in the house because that meant I could watch the behind the scenes videos of how they made any models or SFX. My dream job growing up was to work at ILM and help make the props and mini-vehicles for movies.
Based on this, we have no doubt that he could fulfill his dream one day.
