Nerf Announces An Entirely Necessary Automatic Version Of Their 70MPH Rival Blaster

Ahead of the official announcement at the New York Toy Fair next month, Nerf has unveiled a sneak peek at its Fall 2016 line-up, including an automatic variant of the Nerf Rival, one of last year’s most popular blasters.

If you’re not familiar with Nerf Rival, these babies shoot foam balls at speeds of up to 70MPH – not quite fast enough to activate Doc Brown’s Flux Capacitor, but a significant step forward in the Nerf arms race nonetheless.

So where do you go from there? Simple – take that blistering speed and make it automatic.

The upcoming Nerf Rival Khaos MXVI-4000 Blaster is an automatic variant of the original Nerf Rival – with a single squeeze of the trigger (and six D-sized batteries…SIX!) you can unload the entire 40-pellet magazine into your friends, enemies and belligerent coworkers. Yeah, right in their stupid faces. Maybe next time they’ll have those TPS reports in on time.

Expect the Khaos MXVI-4000 to arrive this fall for around $70.

You can learn more about the new line-up, which also includes a modular triple-barrel blaster and something ominously named the Mega Mastodon Blaster, over at Toyland.
