Architect Builds Hobbit House For Wealthy Tolkien Fan

This beautiful Hobbit-hole house was designed by architect Peter Archer for a very wealthy Tolkien fan residing in the Pennsylvania countryside. It’s not a place to live mind you—rather a very elaborate backyard repository for the owner’s vast collection of Tolkien memorabilia. From Yahoo News:

The 600-square foot building is a short walk from his main house, on a flat stone path and through an English-style garden.

“We wanted a single structure, a relaxing place that was diminutive in scale, for the owner to come and hang out and just be in solitude with his collection,” said architect Peter Archer, speaking on the owner’s behalf.

Yeah, like I said…wealthy. Not only that, the windows and wood accents inside are all top notch, hand-crafted stuff inspired by Tolkien’s own drawings.
