Real-Life TRON Light Cycle Goes All Electric [Video]

Parker Brothers Custom Choppers delivered a gasoline-powered, street-legal TRON light cycle last year (you actually buy it on Hammacher Schlemmer right now for $55,000), but now they are back with a version that’s a lot more appropriate for the TRON universe.

That’s because the new version is powered by lithium batteries and a 96-volt electric motor that’s (supposedly) capable of a top speed of 100 mph. It can also go 100 miles on a single 15-35 minute charge with enough juice left over for that signature TRON lighting.

The Parker Bros. are working on making the bike street legal, but they warn that it won’t be for heavy duty use. Pricing and availability have not been announced, but you can check out a prototype of the bike in action in the video after the break.
