According to AppleInsider, Steve Jobs may introduce a new version of the shuffle at MacWorld – which would mean that the device would most likely be on store shelves by late January or early February.
“We are hearing of an even smaller form factor (smaller than a pack of gum) and the potential for the re-introduction of multiple colors,” said American Technology Research analyst Shaw Wu in a research note obtained by AppleInsider.”
Unfortunately, storage capacities will most likely remain untouched in order to prevent overlap with other iPod products.
I currently own a shuffle and I have been very pleased with it. It’s a solid flash drive and it holds enough songs for those of us who don’t have enough music to fill a larger iPod. But do we really need something smaller? It seems that Apple will not be satisfied until all of their products are stylish choking hazards.
