Although hands-free phones make users look like gesticulating weirdos who talk to themselves, only EARonic iPhone cases up the ante by making it look like you’re doing all that on an imaginary phone. Designed by artist Daniela Gilsanz, these unique cases sport five different ears, including additional features like facial hair, earrings and various skin and hair tones to make your look more accurate. However, if you just want people to laugh at you, there’s always this.

A fitness app appropriately titled “Zombies, Run!” will not only help get you in shape, but it will also allow you to pit yourself against the undead in a series of missions that will provide valuable training should the world be subjected to an actual zombie apocalype:
Zombies, Run! is an ultra-immersive game for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android where you help rebuild civilisation after a zombie apocalypse. By going out and running in the real world, you can collect medicine, ammo, batteries, and spare parts that you can use to build up and expand your base – all while getting orders, clues, and story through your headphones.

If you experienced the wondrous decade known as the 1990s, then chances are you whiled away the hours playing retro game consoles including SEGA’s Genesis/Mega Drive, Saturn and Dreamcast (probably looking something like this in the process). Although those days are gone, you can still keep the nostalgia going with this series of polycarbonate SEGA iPhone 4 shells. Hopefully this selection will grow to include some of the other gaming relics like the Atari Jaguar and the SNES.

Unfortunately, this iPhone 4 case won’t give you superhuman hearing or make your reception any clearer. What it will do is make you look like you have a gigantic ear attached to a peanut head. It may also give younger guys a frightning glimpse at what they might look like in their old age.
At this point you are probably wondering how anyone could possibly live another minute of their lives without this product. I completely understand—but be patient. It will be available starting next month for around $13. In the meantime, you’ll have a tough decision to make between the ear case and the severed hand case.

Remember the iPlunge iPhone stand? Well, there’s another stand out now that’s shaped like a wrench. Not really sure what the whole plumbing theme is all about, unless they’re trying to say that the phone is sh*t.

Just when you thought Japan couldn’t possibly get any weirder, they go and create the Dokkiri (Kid’s) Hand Case for iPhone 4. Even the product page, Strapya World, thinks this thing is crazy—that’s like Bill Gates calling someone a nerd.
Why would you want a hand on your iPhone 4, right? Well, believe it or not, this Hand iPhone 4 case could actually come in “handy”. As shown on the picture on the right, you could hold hands with your iPhone to make sure you don’t drop it. Or if you are feeling really lonely, this case may reach out to you and give you company. Okay, I am done. This case is crazy. This case is creepy. And for some people, this case is absolutely awesome.
I am firmly in the “creepy” category on this one, but if you long to shake hands with your iPhone, the case will ship in August. Pre-orders are already underway.

I wouldn’t expect the iPhone 5 to feature a built-in fan upgrade—but it is hot out there, and Chinese knock-off gadgets know no bounds.
Basically, it’s a portable cooling fan that looks like a white iPhone 4 with a glandular disorder. It charges via USB and a small sponge inside can be soaked with water to aid in cooling.
These can be had in the US for around $10—until Apple gets “wind” of it that is. Get it? Hahaha…eh.
Check out a video of the fan in action after the break.

There have been other, even more awkward SLR mounts for iPhones in the past, but none of them compare to this version from Photojojo.
What it does is allow you to mount your Canon EOS or Nikon SLR lenses to your iPhone 4/iPhone 3G or 3GS to give your phone “powerful depth of field and manual focus”.

My wife and I have a few areas where we are wildly different. Most notably, I’m a gadget freak while she would probably still be using one of those old-timey candlestick phones if I hadn’t begun an effort to drag her into the 21st century. That having been said, I’ve been trying to convince here to upgrade to a smartphone—particularly a pre-paid version because, in her case, we simply don’t need to spend another fortune on cutting edge features and plans.
So, when I got a chance to test out the LG Optimus V, I thought it would be a good opportunity to see if an affordable prepaid Android phone would be up to snuff. After spending several weeks with it, I can say that the Optimus V will probably be her next phone.
