ATI Sued Over HDCP Claims

We noted that ATI and Nvidia had changed their materials stating their cards were HDCP-compliant, when they actually were not here back in February. I did claim that the situation was ripe for a class action suit, and what do you know, we now have a class action suit filed against ATI, bascially for a false representation.

A filing made by Stanley Batsalkin and Kenny Vargas on behalf of themselves and others in a San Jose district court alleges ATI Technologies, ATI Technologies Systems, ATI Research Silicon Valley, ATI Research and 200 “John Does” breached state consumer protection statutes, express warranty statures, implied warranty statutes, negligent misrepresentation common laws and unjust enrichment common laws.

So, my second bet was that the suit would be settled with the lawyers taking home a large fee while the plaintiffs end up getting not much of anything. Anyone willing to take bets on that? Could I be right twice? I am betting so.
