Intel Celeron M

An extremely talented overclocker named Crotale has pushed a Celeron M 1.4GHz processor to the absolute limit - reaching 4.16GHz. That’s a 197% overclock for those of you who are counting - and it looks like he may try for 200%.

Keep in mind that Intel’s top of the line Extreme Edition 955 clocks in at 3.46GHz - with two cores and a 4MB cache.

Just how Crotale was able to do this remains a mystery, but anyone who has ever overclocked a processor knows this is certainly a newsworthy achievement.
