Miss Monster aka Melita Curphy is an awesome toymaker, and she doesn’t disappoint with her latest creation: an art doll of Okami’s beloved Amaterasu. If you’re willing to spend a decent chunk of cash, you might even be able to own it.
The plush features a face and paws made from lightweight cast resin that has been hand-painted by Mel herself. Amaterasu is made oh-so-huggable with a soft faux fur body stuffed with even plushy polyfill. But the beauty in the doll is all in the details. Amaterasu sports a necklace crafted with resin, carved stone beads, and African amber chunks. Turn her over and you’ll see that she even has her sacred mirror with her (which actually has a real mirror on the other side.)
